Privacy Policy
1Who is responsible
ContextAI is operated by Ron Sircar, sole proprietor (India), trading as ContextAI. A private limited company, Oni AI Private Limited, is being incorporated; when that completes it becomes the data controller on the same commitments, and this page is updated to say so.

2What this policy covers, and what it does not
This policy covers contextai.org, correspondence with ContextAI, and the tools ContextAI runs on its own accounts (section 5).
Our products hold client and user material under their own, more detailed policies, and those govern that material:
- Sherpa — contextsherpa.com/privacy, with its trust page listing sub-processors.
- 5YearJourney — 5yearjourney.com/privacy.
Where a product policy is more specific, it governs that product.
3This website
contextai.org is an informational site. It sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from a third party, so visiting this page does not tell anyone else that you did.
Our hosting provider processes standard request data — IP address, user agent, the page requested — to serve the page and protect it from abuse, on our legitimate interest in running a secure website. We do not build profiles from it and we do not sell it.

We do not buy data about you, and we do not send marketing to people who did not ask for it.
5Our own tools, and Google user data
ContextAI runs its own tooling — including a command-line client for Google Workspace and Gmail — that signs in to ContextAI's and its founder's own Google accounts in order to read, file, draft and schedule that account's own mail and calendar. It is used by us, on our accounts, for our own work.
What that means in practice:
- It never signs in to, and never reads, your Google account. If you email us, your message reaches us the ordinary way: it is in our mailbox because you sent it there.
- Data obtained through Google APIs is used only to operate our own mailboxes and calendars. It is not sold, not transferred to anyone else for their own purposes, not used for advertising, and not used to train AI models.
- It is held on ContextAI's own systems under access control, and kept only as long as the correspondence itself is kept.
ContextAI's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6Who else touches data
We keep the list short on purpose. In the ordinary course, these are the categories of provider involved: hosting and content delivery for this site; Google Workspace for email and calendar; a transactional email provider for messages you asked us to send you; and AI model providers, which process content to produce a result and are engaged as our processors, not for their own purposes.
Each product publishes its own sub-processor list on its trust or privacy page, and that list is the authoritative one for that product's material.
7Where data lives, and for how long
Correspondence lives in our Google Workspace mailboxes and on our own systems. Product material is held as each product's policy describes. We keep what we need for the purpose it was collected for, plus any period the law requires, and no longer.
8Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop a particular use of it. Write to ron@contextai.org and we will answer within 30 days, usually much sooner. There is no charge and no form to fill in.
Depending on where you live, these rights may also arise under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. We apply the same standard to everyone. If you think we have handled your data badly, tell us first; you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
9Children
ContextAI's services are for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data about children through this site. 5YearJourney's advisory work concerns young people's education and careers; it is bought and held by an adult, and its own policy sets out how that is handled.
10Changes
If this policy changes materially we change the version and the date at the top of this page, and we tell anyone the change actually affects. We do not make quiet edits.
